Versed

Versed is a student-oriented social network connecting tutors and students in Hong Kong. We are seeking HKD 1mn in seed funding, set to close at the end of December. There are three key problems in the market we aim to solve: 1) Lack of a directory for tutors to advertise themselves online and be reviewed by parents and students 2) No-one for students to turn to for help with writing homework assignments 3) Nowhere for students to buy and sell revision notes Our directory (MVP) will be the first of its kind in HK to be completely free. We monetize with our Notes Marketplace and Homework Helper features that have the ability to go viral amongst university students. Our escrow system prevents users from circumventing our ecosystem. We are scaleable locally and internationally. The team currently consists of myself and a web developer. Versed is my third startup, and my co-founder, Nick, has over 8 years of web development experience. We are launching beta in December.
