It differs from other social media photo platforms because it is travel specific, allowing users to seamlessly discover, plan and share: DISCOVER: extremely visual, encouraging beautiful and inspiring travel photos that can be searched by country, city, postcard, tag, postcard of the week, album of the month, or according to friends and followers. PLAN: Many social media sites today are about what has happened in the past. WIth P&T, users are also planning what they are going to do in the future, and with the use of maps and calendars. SHARE: It is easy to post a photo – either from a users smartphone, from the web, or by locating the postcard which is located near you using GPS. Postcards can be tagged, commented on, shared, and even sent to friends, followers, or family, which in itself creates a wider potential user base.
